Kylie Jenner has more Instagram followers than any of us would ever dream of. Each and every post draws millions and thousands of likes in just a few hours.
The 21-year-old held the record for the most astounding number of likes for a photo on the social networking site, which was a depressing 18 million.
But do you know? But she’s been knocked off the winner’s podium by an egg.
It’s an egg !! Yes, you read that right.
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this,” the caption under the sole photo on the account reads. The photo is, obviously, a stock photo of an egg, and nothing else.
The photograph was posted on 4 January and gained supporters from everywhere throughout the world in a very short span of time. The hashtags #LikeTheEgg, #EggSoldiers, and #EggGang worked, as in only ten days, the post began getting around 20,000 likes for per minute, giving no possibility to Jenner’s supporters to regroup and keep the best spot for Jenner’s first photograph of her little girl taken back in February 2018.
The egg had no issue beating different contenders, including XXXTentacion’s last picture posted before his demise and Justin Bieber’s photograph reporting his commitment to Hailey Baldwin. The egg currently has 18,679,809 likes and counting.
