A monkey has been caught on camera attempting to get away from a zoo by breaking an enclosure window with a small rock it sharpened over a period of time. The incident was reported from the Zhengzhou Zoo in China’s Henan Province. The Columbian white-faced capuchin can be seen standing close to a glass window while clutching a stone with two hands.
A couple of moments later, it started to repeatedly hit the window with the pointy end of the rock. Soon, the window breaks into pieces and the monkey makes a run. Visitors at the zoo watched on in stun as the primate showed a scene which can otherwise only be seen in a Planet of the Apes film. Take a look at the video first
Mr. Wang, a visitor to the zoo, was quoted by LadBible: “The monkey was sharpening the stone, then it started hitting it on the glass. The monkey scared itself away, but it came back to take another look and even touched it,”
