In late November, a pit bull mix was found wandering alone and scared in Maryland. The pup had a microchip, and so the Caroline County Humane Society identified the dog.
The pup, who is named Zimba, was originally from Wichita, Kansas. Embarked on a fun road trip with his mom’s boyfriend, Zimba had no idea that his mom and her boyfriend broke up, leaving him angry and upset.
He was so upset that he decided to abandon Zimba in Maryland. He stopped answering phone calls from his ex-girlfriend.
Zimba’s mom had been looking for him since then and so when she found out about her dog, she so wanted to go and bring him home.
But, she couldn’t figure out how she would be able to make this journey because of her job and kids.
Then, Zach Holt offered to help. He offered to drive the pup 1,000 miles home to Kansas.
And so Zach and Zimba met up, hopped in the car, and start driving.
Zach didn’t ask for anything but the Humane Society raised money to pay for tolls and gas along the way.
